All Winter League Games & Practices moved to the new facility
Three weeks ago, the facility sitting at 1750 Amherst Road was a shell; it had a concrete floor, several empty rooms, and an empty parking lot. Today, it is packed. The Field House at Amherst, new home to FC Alliance, opened it’s doors for business on Saturday, January 6, 2012. Although the facility is nowhere near finished, it is playable. 44 teams, ranging from U5-U18, played games. The result was a lot of happy young soccer players, as they were able to escape the cold and wet winter weather in the club’s comfortable new indoor arena.
The club is still looking for donations. Pilot has agreed to match member donations up to $20,000. Many projects are left to be completed, including the community room, offices, spectator and player areas, upper netting, and field expansion. Donations can be made at the facility.
