The 98b Black rose to the challenge in their first foray into the world of 11 aside soccer in north Atlanta on February 27-28, 2010.  The team had not been in tournament competition since late November and quickly knocked off the rust with shutout wins over 98 Cannons Gold (2-0)and the CFC Redstar (4-0) on Saturday.  Their third game against the AFC Lightning was a classic defensive struggle that ended in a 0-0 tie.

Based on overall goal differential, FC Alliance advanced to the finals with GSA Arsenal.  This was another defensive battle, with neither team able to score.  With less than six minutes remaining, 98B Black got the go ahead goal and held off the Arsenal’s attack to claim the championship, 1-0.
