Another Unbeaten at the Florida ECNL Showcase

Playing in front of a large crowd of college colleges is not easy.  Neither is playing in the ultra-competitive Florida ECNL Girls Showcase.  So when the U18/19 Girls went unbeaten in one of the nation's toughest events, the statement was heard loud and clear.  Coach Chad Stocton's team played three games in the Orlando event and notched two huge wins and tied the third.

The FC Alliance U18/19 Girls are just a month into their inaugural ECNL season and it could not have started much better.  Overall, the team has lost just once in five ECNL games; they currently sit in third place in the Ohio Valley Conference.  In unusually cool temperatures at the Florida event, they walked away unbeaten.

The first two games were against familiar foes: South Carolina United ECNL U18/19 and CESA ECNL U18/19.  FC Alliance won impressively, prevailing 2-0 and 4-2.  The final game was a 1-1 thriller against Pennsylvania's FC Bucks ECNL U18/19.   Both teams had chances to win, but the game ended deadlocked.

The U18/19 Girls were not the only FC Alliance team to record ECNL wins in Orlando.  Coach Jon Schneider's ECNL U15 girls defeated FC Bucks ECNL U15 by an impressive 3-0 score to open the event.  Also on the opening day, the ECNL U16 girls- coached by Josh Gray- surprised perenniel power Matchfit Academy ECNL U16 with a 2-1 triumph.  Some games were played in front of as many as 60-70 college coaches.

Next up is FC Alliance's Southeast College Showcase in February, before hosting two ECNL weekends in March.
