GOALKEEPER TRAINING: GK Camp this weekend with Glen Fox, coach from Atlanta. See link on left side!
For this week, we will train with Carrie and Maddie at 6 PM on Thursday at Nicholas Ball. We also have a goalie camp with an out-of-town coach July 25, 26 and 27; details can be found in the flyer linked on the left side of this page (right above World Cup Coaching Points!!). Cost is only $125 and it will be great to hear from some quality coaches from outside the club. Hemant will also be there to oversee the training. Please email Hemant with any questions; the website listed on the flyer will take you to the registration page. As of now, 8 goalies have signed up, so we should have a good starting point for quality training.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

FC Alliance has an energetic staff of experienced goalkeeper coaches ready to help you take your game to the next level. Our staff now includes five former collegiate goalkeepers and we often offer guest sessions led by college coaches and current / former pro keepers. Please check the website regularly for updates on special sessions.

There is NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE to attend these sessions for club members; and non-club members can attend for a small fee, with permission from their club director, if applicable (email Hemant for details).

Topics covered at our sessions will include every aspect of being a successful goalkeeper, including: ready position, catching, breakaways, crosses, footwork, punting, goal kicks, throwing, communication and more. Coaches are now incorporating video analysis into nearly every sessions, as well.

For a brief overview of topics and key points, please consult the training manual PDF located on the left side of the Keeper Page.  This page is updated daily with information about weather and time changes--as well as tips arising from training sessions.  So bookmark this page!!
