96 Girls Black Win Region Premier League
Tennessee state champions go unbeaten

It was close, but a win is a win.  The 96 Girls Black have won the Region 3 Central Premier League.  The championship was determined by a single goal in a tiebreaker against Tennessee rival TNFC Impact.  The two teams both ran roughshod through the league, but in a classic clash of the titans they tied each other 3-3.  The difference between the two in the standings?  FC Alliance outscored their opponents by 20 goals, while TNFC outscored theirs by a mere 19.

Coach Josh Gray’s squad was only challenged twice in the league, outscoring opponents by a combined score of 23-3.  In fact, TNFC was the only team to score on them in six games.  Dynamo Juniors of Louisiana gave 96 Black a run in a late March game, but FC Alliance came out ahead 1-0.  Every other opponent was outscored by at least four goals.

Premier League Central consists of teams from Tennessee, Louisiana, Arkansas, Alabama and Mississippi.
