Major Conferences Grab Alliance Players
2013 players accepting offers from SEC, ACC and Big 12

The 2012 FC Alliance college class was by far the most impressive in East Tennessee history.  Players ended up at a long list of NCAA and NAIA schools, including impressive institutions such as Tennessee, Arkansas, MTSU, ETSU and Memphis.  With so many players from one club garnering a fortune in scholarship money, one would think it would be hard to top.  Meet the 2013 recruiting class.  25 players have already commited to schools.  20 of those players have grabbed NCAA Division One offers.  College teams taking FC Alliance kids next year include Texas, Tennessee, Arkansas, Vanderbilt, Notre Dame, Pittsburgh, Kentucky, Marshall, ETSU and MTSU.

The list doesn’t stop there.  More players have committed to strong soccer programs such as Austin Peay, Alabama-Birmingham, Milligan, Western Kentucky, Tennessee Tech, Tennessee-Martin, Lee University and Jacksonville State.

For the second year in a row, FC Alliance is sending a national pool player to Lee.  Last year, Arturo Rocha chose Lee in order to stay close to home, picking them over a handful of schools from major conferences.  This year, Summer Lanter has done the same.  The Lee University women are defending NAIA national champions and have proven they can compete at the highest level.

The Lady Vols and Lady Razorbacks of the SEC are once again beneficiaries of FC Alliance.  Last year, each got a player from the 94 Girls Black.  This year, they each pick up one from the 95 Girls Black.  Kathryn Culhane will stay in Knoxville and Erika Miller will head to Fayetteville.  Also going to the SEC is Laura Foster, who will be a Lady Commodore.

On the boys’ side, Mark Mishu is one of the headliners.  Mishu will follow his brother to Notre Dame.  Luke Mishu is a starter there as a redshirt freshman.  Ryan Creel will play at Kentucky.  He will join Kaelon Fox, a former Knoxvillian who moved to Louisville, in Lexington.  Ben Holt, who famously helped lead CAK to a state championship as an eight grader, will play at Marshall.
