FC Alliance’s 98 Boys Black have once again proven they’re the best team in Tennessee. Coach Jon Schneider’s squad defended their state crown with a dominating performance on the big stage in Murfreesboro. In three games, they outscored opponents by a combined scored of 10-2. No game was sweeter than the final; the team knocked off the powerful Memphis Lobos 3-1. Next up is the winter showcase circuit before the 98 Boys Black gear up for high school soccer. They return to competitive soccer in late May with the regionals less than a month later.
Another FC Alliance team which made a splash in the state finals was Coach Josh Gray’s 97 Boys Black. Once considered a fringe team regionally, they’ve grown into a major player in the race to state and regional supremacy. Gray’s crew won their first two games which punched them a ticket to the finals. Their run ended there, falling to a red hot Tennessee Soccer Club team.
