99 Girls Black Wins CASL College Showcase
Team throttles Indiana, Texas state champions

If you'd like to find a college soccer coach the first week of December each year, just check the sidelines of the CASL Girl's College Showcase.  The event is billed as one of the top recruiting hotspots in the nation, and this year did not disappoint.  Playing in conjunction with the NCAA Women's Final Four, the event attracted hundreds of scouts from every level of collegiate soccer.  Although FC Alliance's 99 Girls Black is just at the front doorway of recruiting, they got things started with a blast, winning an Elite bracket in one of the nation's premier youth soccer events.

The showcase attracts so many teams, they create nine different brackets of play, each with its' own champion.  The top brackets, divided evenly, are termed Elite.  FC Alliance's 99 Black, the defending Tennessee state champions, knocked off both the Indiana and Texas state champions to claim the title.  Both wins were convincing: 2-0 victories over FC Pride (Indiana) and Lonestar SC (Texas South).  Although they tied PDA from New Jersey, Coach Josh Gray's squad claimed the title by virtue of being the only unbeaten team.  Even more impressive is that no one in any of the Elite brackets had a higher goal differential than FC Alliance, as they finished plus four.
