Youth & adult soccer, lacrosse, dodgeball pack facility
Good things happen when you have astro turf and a heater. With cold weather moving in, The Field House at Amherst is ready to burst at its seams. FC Alliance's indoor sports facility has become a welcome home for over 1,000 athletes this winter. That's more participants than over 120 towns in Tennessee have residents. After two years of steady growth, the parking lot is packed every night. The youth soccer list is about to eclipse 600 players, while the Knoxville Social Club's annual two-month dodgeball league will feature nearly 200. More athletes can be found playing Adult COED soccer on Monday nights, practicing lacrosse on Saturday mornings, and even taking part in almost 20 fitness classes ranging from boot camps to yoga.
The Winter Youth League is the largest ever since FC Alliance began the program in 2008. With multiple formats offered for the first time (3v3, 5v5, and 6v6), a range of teams from both inside and outside of the club are participating. The December 3v3 schedule features over 80 teams, while a 12-team middle school league will gear up in January. Teams can still sign up for the January session, although the schedule is already being put together.
